shelves galore

Dad now has removed the louvre windows and made and fitted shelves in the spaces. He did take some photos this evening to show what he has done. Hopefully a weekend working on the shelves will finish them off ready for painting.( My comment not Dad's) He has planned out all he needs to do to finish( I think).
I'm on holidays from this afternoon (unpaid). I plan to get my hair cut and coloured on Monday, go to Spinners with Nana on Wednesday and have lunch with Nana,Denise,Lisa and the children on Thursday. I'll need to fit in packing so we can head to Adelaide on Friday. Looking forward to seeing Damien and Cheryl.
Good to hear what Dayna's been up to. Where's Glenn?(and D) Your turn for a blog guys.

  1. I look forward to seeing the photos of the work Dad's been doing. The closest I could come to making shelves is if I buy some from Ikea and have to put them together. *grin* Hopefully I won't have to - I don't want to buy furniture while I'm here if I can help it. ;)

I'm also getting my hair cut next week - but i'm trying to decide about the colour and I'd welcome some thoughts. It's been black/blue-black for years now.. and since I dyed the purple out, it's pretty normal (which is fine for not). However, I've been growing it out for the last few months - just to see what colour it is.. it's a bit difficult to tell, but it looks light brown with some blonde (or grey) bits..

so - keep it black? or see if i can dye it closer to natural (or blondy-brown)? thoughts?

  2. Whilst not the eminent expert on hair (can you believe it??), I'd say get it colour-matched with your natural colour and see what it looks like. IMHO only, of course.

Either that or go "suicide blonde". :-)

  3. We are looking forward to seeing the three of you on Friday, too! Damien has booked the restaurant for Saturday night, and we have a few ideas of things that we might do during the day.

Dayna, I'm with Glenn in going with your natural colour. I think while you're in the mood for a change, you should go for it! Plus, if you don't like it going back to black wouldn't be that difficult :)

I can't really imagine what you would look like with lighter hair... all I have to go by are the photos from that 80's & 90's that your parents have on their wall in the music room :D So maybe you can just get it done to satisfy my curiosity ;)
