Free DVDs and exercise.

Hi all,

Looks like thanks to my friends at www.telstrabluelounge.com.au, we've got 5 new DVDs to watch - I won a competition and got Ray, Finding Neverland, The Aviator, Million Dollar Baby and Sideways.. not bad I say :)

We've also finished our first week of the exercise challenge.. we made it, although only just. I tend to walk after work, basically doing a big loop on my way home. Of course it used to be a half hour loop, and now it needs to be a 45 minute one so the loop is getting bigger each week :) Cheryl seems to walk more before work, or on her way to work. How is everybody else going? Getting through it?

  1. We started the challenge today -- yes, Danielle is all for fitness too -- with a fair bit of walking during the day, then a dedicated 20 minute walk after teatime.

Tomorrow we're going for a walk in the morning instead, and then at night I begin a four-week "beginners kungfu" course. (I think it's to make sure you will continue the training.) I'm also going to check out the gym where kungfu is held, I think there's a pool and everything so it could be great.

Danielle has found a course online that gets you into jogging in 16 weeks, so we're starting that with tomorrow's walk too! Time to get fit!

  3. I don't know how you manage to win heaps of stuff, but I'm not complaining! :)

I'm onto 25min walks this week. It's uni holidays right now so I'm not working as much, but I have more time for exercise. I'm finding it easier to walk in the mornings and then not have to worry about fitting it in later. Although I did enjoy the walk Damien and I did together after dinner last week (aw, how sweet!)

  4. Hey.. this last one was a game of skill. So were the movie tickets, actually. The phone was luck combined with persistance I think.. If I was really lucky, I'd win something useful like a house or a million dollars.

Well done on the walking Glenn and Dee. Just don't overdo it by starting too many things at once.. be sure and stick to the 6 week challenge.
