House update

Hi all,

Cheryl and I are well into packing boxes now. For example, exhibit a - our spare room:

Of course if you think that looks bad, you probably shouldn't look at our lounge room at around 3:30 this afternoon, which I like to call exhibit b - armageddon:

It doesn't look quite that bad now.. close though :)
The reason we are in a flurry of packing is that the truck comes to pick up our stuff on Saturday 15th, giving us less than a week to get everything we have into cardboard.. and we seem to have a fairly large collection of stuff. Where does it all come from?

  1. Where did u have all of that stuff? We should have sent boxes with Edith and Landon, but then they might have guessed before they got to Adelaide.Doesn't take as long to pack up as it does to unpack, but going to a larger place helps a lot. Looking forward to your visit then to our visit to you.

  2. Our phone number at the new place will be 08 8186 6448 and will be connected on Saturday.
More amusingly, due to a fire in the Origin Energy Melbourne office they're well behind. This meant that I have been unable to contact them before today, and that also means that we wont have electricity or gas connected before Monday. So it will be a dark weekend for us sadly, we wont be able to cook food, run the fridge, turn on lights or anything else. Stupid Origin.

  3. What a nuisance!
Maybe you should camp at the old place. You'll still have the key. Just keep the blow up bed and a few plates and saucepans and cook and sleep there. You can also keep the computer to play for entertainment. That might be cheaper than hanging out at Marion. I guess while there is daylight you can unpack and sort things and the fridge should be close to empty.Hope the weather is kind. we have 33 forecast for Santa's next visit on Friday so he'll be warm.
