I had a phone call yesterday from the man interested in the Buick. He brought his wife to see it. Lisa was here so could tell him Les was trying to sort out timing and that's why it's got pieces off it. (Makes it much more difficult to sell I'm afraid-my view not their's)
They want to know what I want for it. Geoff finally agreed he may ring in a couple of weeks with an offer. . I had told him Les spent $10000 on it. I'd be happy to get that since the buyer does need to do work to put it back together and I can only hope to find pieces that should be there somewhere.
That's my idea. What do you all think?
The Torana costs about $1000 a year to keep with rego and insurance. Insured value is $6000 but again, if I got $5000, I'd be happy. I'd probably have to get a roadworthy and I have no idea what that could cost. At least Clive can drive it and he'll try spraying air to clean the radiator once he repairs the air compressor. And he claims not to be a handy man.
I'll try ringing Eddie Ford to see if he is available to check it out and is able to give me an idea of value.
Maybe selling the cars would help me focus on cleaning out the garage and save you all a big job when I die.
